Course title:
Living Letters: An Experimental Approach to Typographic Animation
Course description:
This course is designed as an in-depth exploration of experimental typographic animation. Through a random draw, each student will be assigned a series of letters to interpret and bring to life, developing an approach that is both conceptual and graphic. Beyond animation, the software will also be used as a genuine graphic design tool: students will create a series of posters using vector images derived from their films, fostering a dialogue between motion design and print design. The course is open to beginners seeking to build a strong foundation in typographic animation, as well as more advanced students who wish to deepen an experimental and personal approach to motion design.
Bio:
Antonin Waterkeyn is a Belgian art director and motion designer. A graduate of La Cambre, the art school in Brussels, he began his career in Paris as a freelance motion designer before co-founding the studio Mada Mada. He later moved to Bordeaux, where he has been living and working for the past seven years.
