Brief description:

Multidisciplinary lectures (10%) are led by experts in contemporary art, design, film, curation, and other interdisciplinary fields, providing participants with multidimensional inspiration to cultivate artistic aesthetics and also bringing influences on design practices.

Biography:

Artist and curator. Born in Hubei in 1971 and studied at the Department of Chinese Painting, China Academy of Art. He started his practice and creation on contemporary art from an “Art for Sale” exhibition held in Shanghai in 1999. Employing video and photography as primary media, he has become one of the most important artists in experimental art in the last decade. He won the New Photography of the Year Award at Lianzhou Foto Festival in 2012, and held his personal exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, New York, LA and more. Many of his works were displayed in international exhibitions such as the Sydney Biennale, the Havana Biennale, the Yokohama Biennial, the Turin Triennial and others.
